The Raiser’s Edge Database Administrator, known as the Donor Information Services Manager provides a broad range of information services in support of the fundraising efforts of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the largest arts institution in the Bay Area. The Donor Information Services Manager is responsible for 1) administration and management of the Museums’ Raiser’s Edge donor database; 2) oversight of processing and entry of donor information and contributions; 3) extraction of data; and 4) user support.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain database structure and guidelines for use of and interaction with the database to ensure data integrity, ease of use, and accuracy of extracted data.

2. Train, supervise, and monitor the performance of the Development data entry staff. Oversee data entry activities to ensure the timely and efficient processing, acknowledgement, and fulfillment of all donations to the organization.

3. Perform all donor database administration and supervisory functions, including database maintenance, security set-up, duplicate record merging, clean-up tasks, and quality control audits. Coordinate NCOA updates, software and hardware upgrades, and other projects with IT Department. Work with IT and outside vendors to troubleshoot network and software issues.

4. Manage the generation of financial, analytical, statistical, and demographic reports, as well as mailing lists, recognition lists, and other data extractions as requested by museum personnel. Designs and generates customized reporting and sets in place automated processes as necessary.

5. Provide training and technical support to all donor database users. Assist fundraisers in using the aspects of the program required to support the fundraising efforts of the organization.

6. Collaborate with fundraisers in the prospect research and moves management activities of the Development Department, including the generation of donor and prospect profiles, as well as reporting on cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.

7. Pursuant to financial regulations and best practices established by the non-profit community, create, standardize, and document policies and procedures related to donor information collection and entry, gift acceptance, and gift processing. Ensure that the highest privacy standards are maintained for constituent information.

8. Work with Accounting to reconcile gifts, provide transaction information and reports, troubleshoot issues, and-when required—reevaluate procedures and systems to improve future gift tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.

9. Works to increase integration with other museum databases and reduce the reliance on outside data sources, establishing the donor database as a museum-wide resource.

10. Assists in technology purchasing decisions, compiling annual budget, and the negotiation and maintenance of vendor relationships.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Training: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, information systems, or related field.

Work Experience: 5 or more years related experience in a non-profit organization, preferably in a museum setting. Supervisory experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent computer skills including a high-level of proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, Crystal Reports, Patron Edge, Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Experience with Financial Edge desirable. High level of analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with current fundraising practices and accounting principles. Excellent organizational skills including the ability to identify priorities, work independently, meet deadlines, and use logic and analysis to solve computer software problems. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with staff, supervisors, and vendors. Required Skills and Experiences:
• Minimum of 3-4 years business experience with a strong desire to learn about the interactive marketing/database marketing space. Experience with email / direct / database marketing, or marketing of discounted goods, is a big plus.

• Technical experience is critical. Candidate must have experience maintaining enterprise software systems. Such systems will have required extensive database integration, dozens of internal users/stakeholders, and millions of end user recipients/beneficiaries. Experience with email service providers (Responsys), data mining software (SAS), campaign management tools (Unica), Web site tracking tools (Omniture), homegrown marketing platforms, and/or ad serving software (DoubleClick) are each a big plus.

• Technical skills will be key. The Sr. Analyst will need to know SQL and be comfortable working regularly with an enterprise database (Oracle,) Experience with database management software (Informatica) and/or scripting languages (PHP, Perl) are be a big plus.

• Strong applied analytics. This means being extremely comfortable using empirical data to support marketing decisions; ability to glean intelligence and behavioral inferences from data; love of data; demonstrable history of using data to improve profits.

• Strong communication skills; must be able to balance the needs of multiple internal constituencies and external vendors through negotiation and effective, persuasive communication.

You will design end to end test scenarios which span all SAP connected supply chain systems including testing strategy; test planning; test coordination; test metrics generation; test execution and defect tracking and resolution.

As REI’s Lead SAP QA Engineer you will also be responsible for conducting test kickoff sessions. You will coordinate, with the SAP Program Manager, the interface with onshore and offshore test teams and you will work with the SAP Center of Expertise (COE) to ensure that the tested solution match business requirements.

As the Lead SAP QA Engineer, you will oversee the management of deliverables of individuals within the QA Department including performance testing within and external to the SAP application and Quick Test Pro automation (seed data and test cases).

The Microsoft SQL Server DBA will be responsible for the design, documentation, execution, and maintenance of Jobs2Web data strategy through the management of data assets and data architecture.

Specifically, the Microsoft SQL Server DBA role will have impact through these responsibilities:

Manage production, development, and reporting databases across the organization.
Apply principles, theories, and concepts to analyzing and modeling data in order to promote enterprise-wide sharing and management of data assets.
Create normalized data models from business requirements and coordinate changes with application developers.
Provide guidance to the development team in complying with data and technology standards and design best practices.
Essential experience in managing data privacy and meeting relevant industry compliance standards.
Perform estimation and capacity planning to accommodate rapid database growth.
Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Oversee database maintenance activities with an external hosting provider.
Meet on-demand reporting needs of business users.
Provide support to the Production Support Team in issue analysis and resolution.
Actively participate in initiatives that define and implement the vision and objectives of Jobs2Web.

Desired Qualifications and Competencies:

Expertise in Microsoft SQL 2008 Enterprise database administration.
Expertise in designing and creating tables, views, triggers, and complex stored procedures, functions, indexes, and other database objects.
Proficient in use of data modeling tools and techniques.
Experience in setting up, optimizing, and maintaining replication.
Experience in extracting and transforming data using SSIS and BCP.
Proficient in use of index Tuning Wizard, SQL Profiler, and Windows Performance Monitor for monitoring and tuning server performance.
Comfortable working with application developers to improve performance and architecture of web applications.
Consistently demonstrates strong team and individual performance.
Effective written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Builds positive and effective relationships with individuals both internal and external to the organization.
Practical knowledge of software development life cycle.
Displays capacity for a fast paced work environment.

Education:
