SQL Server DBA
Job Description:
Our Client is a leading provider of real-time stock market commentary for brokerage firms, hedge funds and mutual funds.They are seeking a SQL DBA/Developer to join their small IT group, the ability to multi-task is a must.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Experience designing logical and physical databases
Solid expereince w/Performance Monitor, Profiler, Query Analyzer and other tools to find areas that need tweaking
Performance tuning databases
Writing and optimizing stored procedures for maximum performance
Maintaining scripts for all functions, stored procedures, tables, triggers & views
Optimizing relationships between tables & indexing for maximum speed
Identifying when locking is occurring and eliminating deadlocks
Performing database maintenance & checking logs
Establishing and administering database security, and modeling data.
Optimizing a database for database replication
Understanding of how .NET ADO works with SQL Server
Experience working with developers in web environment
Researching new technologies to find ways to better service our clients

Required Skills:
3+ years SQL DBA experience supporting 24×7 production environment
Exprience with logical and physical database design
Performance tuning
Stored Procedures
Some SQL Programmer experience preferred.
