This full-time position is
for a Senior SQL Server Database Developer who has a solid groundwork
in database design and development with SQL Server. The role will involve
a large portion of T-SQL Development, data migration/consolidation,
data modelling, integration services, performance tuning, reports development
and data analysis.
The candidate will perform
the following tasks:
- Develop and maintain
complex SQL queries for data analysis and data extract - Database programming
(MS SQL 2005, SSIS, SSRS) Stored Procedures, T-SQL - Design and develop
SQL objects for high-performing database batch processes - Develop effective
heavy duty data solutions for Database Archiving, Data Conversion and
Batch Data interface using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) - Code, test and Quality
Assurance support for very complex SQL server procedures - Design, test and
document multiple system interfaces - Delivery of work
estimates for proposed changes (small and large scope) - Review business
requirements and technical design documents to develop effective database
solutions - Performance tuning,
profiling and monitoring of SQL through a variety of tools and applications - Technical support
of the customer applications - Work and communicate
with team in design, development, test, life-cycle support & problem
determination and implement error handling - Interface with client(s)
to define problems and propose solutions
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - 10+ years experience
with Microsoft SQL Server databases-2000, 2005, and 2008 (a plus, or
knowledge of new database technologies) and related software, with strong
programming capabilities - 10+ years experience
working with databases and coding SQL statements - Advanced expertise
in Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 report design, development
and deployment - Must have developed
large scale database - Strong knowledge
in T-SQL programming, triggers, stored procedures, user-defined functions,
cursors, views - Experience with
development of multi-tiered applications - Data modelling and
analysis experience - SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
experience - Microsoft certification
(not required but a plus if you have) - Highly motivated,
with strong work ethic - Collaborative approach
- Ability to work
independently - Excellent communication
skills
