We are currently assisting our client in hiring an SAP Business Systems Analyst (with FI/CO module) for a contract to hire opportunity.
Summary:
This person needs skills in both FI and CO modules, with a desire for a stronger CO background of the two. HR module experience is a plus. As a member of the Global SAP Applications team, the Business Systems Analyst will conduct in-depth review and analysis of business systems and processes and be responsible for the delivery of new or modified SAP solutions and the support of existing technology. The Business Systems Analyst will conduct analysis of business unit processes, SAP processes, and support requests. The analyst will propose solutions, prepare essential groundwork, identify potential risks and issues, implement solutions, and provide the necessary user training and follow up support.
The main components of the role are to provide expertise on the effective use and configuration of SAP to support existing and future SAP sites, and to identify, develop, and implement SAP solutions for current and future business needs.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a designated expert in specified SAP modules used by operations
Research solutions to SAP configuration or operational issues for current sites or future projects.
Create and organize documentation on best practices, business procedures, reporting, SAP configuration and master data maintenance.
Participate in systems requirements definition, testing, training, implementation, and support.
Solicit client requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing system documentation or procedures. Promote knowledge transfer on SAP usage and configuration techniques.
Use industry standard analysis techniques to uncover client requirements such as data flow modeling, use-case analysis, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis and business process mapping.
Document the results of analysis activities using the appropriate templates or analysis tools.
Identify customer requirements, develop test schedules, design and review testing plans, and track and document development/results.
Identify areas of potential business or project risk and communicate these to the Project Manager or team leader.
Coordinate with managers and clients to assess business issues, gather and define requirements, and write effective and detailed business and system design requirements.
Effectively translate business needs into specifications to be used by development staff to create technical designs and programming specifications; assist with design and review of specifications.
Work as an ad hoc team member on projects requiring overall upgrades, changes or on major facility or business projects.
Provide content for ongoing learning and consistency across operations. Conduct end-user training sessions as needed.
Coordinate and/or provide SAP insight to various user task forces and generate new SAP solutions globally.
In depth understanding of the integration points of the specified SAP modules with associated business process used in the environment.
Identify integration points and assure proper integration of the specified SAP module with non-SAP systems, internal or external.
Work with business leaders to identify issues and help establish priorities.
Provide support for break/fix issues and consulting services to clients in ongoing operations.
Project and personal time tracking and planning.
Proper work documentation to support audit requirements.
Contribute in a positive way via technical expertise, work ethic, attitude, and overall professionalism to the success and image of IS Department. This includes exhibiting professional, business like behaviors when interacting with internal and external customers, vendors and other colleagues.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
Minimum of 5 years business related and/or business analysis experience.
Minimum of 3 years of SAP experience in a manufacturing environment.
Prior SAP global implementation, a plus
Advanced degree, particularly MBA, a plus.
Training in specific SAP modules FI/CO (HR a plus)
