Verifi is looking for a motivated and results oriented Database Administrator to work with our small team of talented engineers.

You will be responsible for:
Provisioning, installing, configuring, operating and maintaining Verifis database systems
Assisting with technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure
Ensuring Verifis database systems procedures adhere to regulatory requirements and are aligned with organizational values
Assisting Software Engineering team with database related technical issues
Participating on application development projects, focusing on the transition of projects from Software Engineering to Production Infrastructure by addressing database activities within the software development life-cycle
Monitoring, tuning, replication, query optimization, backup and recovery of MySQL database systems
You bring to the table your:
Bachelor degree in engineering or computer science
3 years experience
Experience with MySQL
Experience with Linux (RHELL/CentOS/Devian) troubleshooting and engineering
Experience with SAN
Experience with Shell scription and system automation with PHP, Perl, or Python
Strong written and oral communication
Motivation and ability to quickly learn
Expectation to be challenged
High degree of independence and exceptional work ethic
In addition, the following would be a plus:
MySQL Certification
Strong working knowledge and experience supporting PHP development teams
Experience working in a high transaction volume 24×7x365 processing environment
Familiarity with the Payment Card Industry and various Acquirers/Processors
Understanding of the chargeback process
