Internet auction website looking for a seasoned database programmer who programs in .Net
The candidate selected will join a friendly team as we relaunch a popular online auction website in the coming days. We have an immediate need for an additional programmer who that take things into their own hands and help prepare the website for immediate relaunch. We are experiencing some problems and we need another talented problem-solver. Is that you?
A good candidate would need to know the following languages:
AJAX – .NET and JavaScript All languages are required and must be well versed.
MySQL (Performance) Stored Procedures, Regular Procedures, maintenance, functions, queries complex and simple, data migration, and live auditing experience required.
Microsoft .NET (VB.NET) Class structure building, interaction and use with mysql database, direct and indirect communication with mysql server database. Using Stored Procedures with .NET. Full knowledge of 2.0 and 3.5 edition of .NET class foundation library.
Microsoft Windows Service .NET Programming Development of a full windows service, utilizing VB.NET technology, and must have knowledge in testing experience with windows services, in direct correlation to performance coding in memory usage and cpu usage for such service.
CSS, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, all the following languages the person must be well versed in. Not only as plain languages, but well versed that they can mix languages at a moments notice.
Basic Layout and design concepts apply. Meaning simple design concepts of how elements fit or relate on the website.
Windows Server 2008 IIS 7.0 configuration and deployment of web applications and other .net features. Example, virtual folder setup, application pool settings and live tweaking of such features.
Communication skills must be clear and understandable (someone who speaks English well)
Testing skills and verifying of live and test sites is also a must.
You will be brought up to on the current situation but you must be prepared to work extensively in the beginning, until the site is fully re-launched and all bugs are fixed (we’re almost there).
