Anchor QEA, an environmental science and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a full-time JUNIOR CHEMIST/DATABASE ANALYST in its Seattle, WA office.
This position will be supporting the data management team with laboratory coordination, data package tracking, field data entry, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures. Candidates for this position must have a Bachelors degree in a Science or a related field and/or 5+ years of years of environmental analytical laboratory experience with an emphasis on data analysis, QA/QC components, data acquisition and data reporting, and demonstrate knowledge in several or all of the following areas:
-EPA methodologies, including solid waste physical/chemical methods (SW-846)
-Standard Methods for water and wastewater (APHA, AWWA, WEF)
-Data review and data validation (EPA National Functional Guidelines)
-Laboratory data processing, LIMS and EDD generation
-Knowledge of technical writing to assist with development of laboratory work orders
-Knowledge of database systems including MS Access, SQL Server, EQUIS and/or MySQL
