ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the VP of Product Development, the Database Developer & Administrator will be an important part of the Product Development team. The position involves database administration and design, along with related application development. The position is suitable for database administrators with strong software development skills. We are also willing to consider software developers with demonstrated strong database experience and skills.
In addition to fulfilling database administration and software development responsibilities, the person in this role may also assist with
Source control administration (TFS)
Automated build and deployment systems
REQUIREMENTS
4+ years degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent education / experience
8+ years experience in projects involving design and administration of large-scale database-driven SaaS applications (MySQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle, etc)
Extensive hands-on experience with MySQL
Familiarity with MySQL administration (replication, CLI, backup, tuning, etc)
5+ years software development experience using an object-oriented language
Proven experience with software development life cycle and formal development processes, i.e. creating specifications, technology pilots, analyzing application performance, etc.
Strong interpersonal, written, and organizational skills
DESIRED
Experience working as a DBA in large-scale high-transaction SAAS environment
MySQL 5.x DBA Certification
Experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET 2.0+, HTML, Javascript, XML Web services
Experience with Visual Studio 2005/2008 and TFS 2005/2008
Experience with clustering and load balancing, networking, and application and web security
Experience with PHP

Salary: Competetive (based on the experience)
Working conditions: At a computer 95% of the time; At times requires late hours and/or weekend work; Travel Required: 5%
