The TrueAction Analytics organization is currently seeking a database administrator to support and grow the systems that support the Reporting & Analytics Team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Provide technical leadership and support for the group’s reporting and analytics databases and associated technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 databases

- Work with the reporting & analytics team to define both functional and technical database specifications

- Design and develop proper database tables, views, stored procedures, etc. for these applications

- Perform database monitoring, maintenance, reorganizations, resource management, schema management and capacity planning and performance turning for the group’s databases

- Work with the larger IT organization to ensure databases are backed-up appropriately

- Diagnose database related problems and applies fixes in a timely manner

- Maintain up-to-date and accurate database system documentation

- Create ad-hoc queries and reports as requested and provide on-going analytical support for these requests.
- Perform other assignments as requested or as business needs require

Experience:

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems Technology and at least 3-5 years of hands-on-experience

- Fundamental knowledge of SQL Server architecture, relational database concepts and SQL

- A solid understanding of physical data modeling, database design principals, programming, and a system development lifecycle
- Experience with TSQL and Stored Procedure development and troubleshooting

- Experience with MS SQL Server 2000 and 2005 tools, including use of Query Analyzer, stored procedures, DTS, SSIS, Jobs and Profiler

- Experience with Dot Net Framework

- Experience with VBA a plus

- Understanding of XML helpful

- Experience in other database platforms a plus (ie. Oracle, DB2, MySQL, etc.)

- Experience in e-commerce a plus

- Excellent communication skills

- Team-oriented work ethic

- Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
