Description
Content Analysis is part of the function of Gracenote’s Content & Product Team.
Performs data analysis functions related to the on-going analysis of off-line and on-line databases and content, specifically in the audiovisual sphere.
The Content Analyst is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reports are delivered for all analysis that will deliver models and tools to allow for insightful data analysis, customer analysis and business forecasting.
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
evaluating the completeness (scope) of Gracenote metadata by region, content type, genre, or similar categorization
assessing the quality (cleanness) of Gracenote’s metadata, by the above criteria
preparing and maintaining internal metrics so that product representatives readily understand what Gracenote has available
preparing and maintaining external metrics so that product representatives can readily position Gracenote’s scope and quality to customers
creating target lists, to help the content team efficiently focus the editorial work
rapid processing of data ingestion/conversion into Gracenote format
Technical Skills
Technical proficiencies required to be a Content Analyst include, but are not limited to:
Solid understanding of database architecture and comfort with Structured Query Language (SQL) and database structures
Experience with at least one scripting language (ability to automate script work is a major plus!)
High-level proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access.
Proficiency e with reporting tools such as Crystal reports, Business Objects along with an understanding of SAS, SPSS, and other analytical tools.
BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similarly rigorous field
Prior analytical experience is a major plus
