UPD Consulting is seeking to fill a critical position in a multi-year project with a state education agency. This position would serve as the Project Director for the State Longitudinal Data Warehouse.

The State Longitudinal Data Warehouse project is currently in its initial stages of implementation and is continuing to build out its system to track all students from Kindergarten through the time they enter the workforce. This system will allow all policy makers and the public to gain exceptional insight into the educational systems of the state, to measure educator effectiveness, to identify students in need of intervention, and to know what support each student requires. This data system is intended not just to meet the requirements of federal education law. It is intended to help marshal a dramatic reformation of public education in the state. As such, this unique job will emphasize management and communication talents first and technical expertise second.

This position will offer an unmatched professional experience:

• Position Reports directly to the Chief State School Officer

• Excellent Resources: Project Budget of $6 million over 3 years and potentially much more if the state wins their grant under the Race to the Top Competition

• Generous Pay plus health insurance and 401(k)

• Exceptional Scope of Influence: Project will create a State Longitudinal Data Warehouse to track all students in the state from Early Childhood into the Workforce.
• Unmatched Professional Environment: State agency has an exceptionally talented team engaged in one of the nation’s most ambitious education reform efforts.
